I have this place, this one place.
Those short-skirted, always busy chatty, and talkative sisters.
"Did you take my shirt with out asking?!", "Where is my nail polish!",
"Would you please get out of the bathroom?!".
There are annoying, pestering brothers.
"Can you help me with my homework??",
"Do you wanna play Kingdom Hearts with me?", "Guess what? Daddy's taking me to McDonald's again!"
And there are those nagging, exasperating parents.
"Did you finish your homework?", "Go clean your room right now young lady!",
"We're doing this for your own good."
As years go by, this place increases with colorful new faces, from different races,
sex, and religions. In short, tall, fat, and small sizes.
Halloween means lots of wishing to go trick-or-treating,
but always get the same
"you're too old for trick-or-treating", or
"it's too dangerous to go trick-or-treating in this neighborhood."
Instead all types of candies and goods come home with you from school.
Thanksgiving means of course lots of shouting across the table.
"Pass the mash potatoes!"
"Pass the turkey!" "May I please have some peas?"
Steaming , hot, mouth-watering food is passed back and forth.
Hot apple pie, and Pumpkin pie is for desert.
Afterwards is a fun and exciting movie.
Christmas means lots of celebrating !
Celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Go to church. It's a long, but enjoyable service.
Get home and open presents!
Boxes and packages of colorful, heavy, light, small and big presents are passed. "I wonder what's in this one?" "Omigosh! look at what daddy bought for me!" "This is just what I wanted! thanks mom!"
Funerals mean sadness and grief that's spread around like a dark blanket.
The cold, hard coffin stares back at me.
People dressed in different shades of red.
Burgundy, violet red, and magenta.
Red, you see, was her favorite color.
A wave of cold silence and sadness comes over me...
My place is nowhere located on a map or globe.
It's not exactly always filled with
"sunshine, butterflies and rainbows."
But it's not exactly a lonely deserted place.
No. This place is never empty. Never.
It's huge , warm and open to those who are kind.
This place is covered with ribbons of red to represent love and pain.
It's also covered with billions of blue sparkles and stars to show how many times I've ever laughed.
My place is of course not visible to the human eye.
Only God, Jesus and I could ever see it.
Sometimes I'm afraid to let others into this place, for fear that they just might hurt me.
This place is right across from my hopes and it's down the street from my dreams. It means the World to me.
Before She left, She said that she'll always be in this place.
This wonderful place is my heart. <3

My Place of Love

My Mother by ME :D
I have this person
And I lover her so,
She teaches me things
That I'd never know.
I try to treat her with respect and care,
And I wouldn't raise
My voice to her,
I wouldn't dare.
When I am sad
She makes me feel at home,
And let's me know
That I'm not alone.
When I do something wrong
Or didn't mean to do,
She always forgives me
And says "I love you."
She carried me for nine months
And still supports me now,
And I know that in my heart she'll never let me down.
Now today my life is filled with joy and success,
All thanks to my mom
Who I think is the best!

Life by Ann Schultz
A star above, a moon aglow,
An April rain, A December snow,
A bursting bud, a rose in bloom,
A breaking dawn, a harvest moon...
A happy smile, perhaps a tear,
The longest mile, the shortest year,
A butterfly, a bird in flight,
A happy day, a lonely night...
A cotton cloud, a sky of blue,
A gentle touch, a dream come true,
To reach success, and know we're blessed--
It's all this that makes life the best.

Sometimes
Sometimes It's alright to scream; to shout; to shed a tear or two,
Sometimes It's necessary to dream, to doubt or to know that someone loves you.
Sometimes it's better to think, before decisions are made,
Sometimes it's better to stumble; to fall or to be afraid.
Sometimes it's easier to tell a lie or two,
Sometimes it's easier to cry and cry when you don't know what to do.
Sometimes it's difficult to admit you were wrong and swallow your pride,
Sometimes it's difficult to keep secrets that you hide.
Sometimes you just got to let go and let God do what He has to do,
Sometimes you got to believe in yourself, and you'll manage to make it through. :)

Okay...
So me and my older brother like totally LOVE cats, and so my brother (whos name is hard to pronounce, but it starts with a 'C') is in college and all his friends starting to call him "Cat" becuace they noticed that he likes cats and the fact that they couldn't pronounce his name AT ALL. So my brother was like visting for Christmas break and I still had a rpoject that was due the next day, and We had to write our own poems. So I was like "this should be easy for me since poetry is my thing and all..." But here's the thing: IT WASN'T! I was stuck! I was like "what rhymes with orange?.." and all that jazz! then my brother's all like "He little sis'!". "What's the happs'?"
He noticed I was stressed and all so he took me to his laptop and showed me all these HALARIOUS pictures of cats he had on his laptop. There was one picture with a lazy cat siting on the couch, feet up on the table, beer in his hand , and watching t.v.!
I like cracked up at that one!
There also was this picture of this cute little duck and it was looking up at this Cat that was acting as if it was the best thing that ever walk the planet!
And thats when it hit me!
"I should totally write a poem on cats!"
At first it sounded kinda lame , but i started to get really into it, and I used my brothers pictures to help write the poem.
When I got back my project, guess what I got on it? an A+! my teacher loved it and was cracking up her self! ( I kinda added some of my brothers pictures to it!)
And so here it is my next poem that I dedicated to my brother, the genious that got me My A+!

I'm From Lonely Lane
I'm from Lonely Lane, oak trees, and the sun that is leaving,
the critters that pass me every Sunday evening.
I'm from sad memories from the past;
From piles of dishes in the sink to last.
From trash and bottles all over the street,
And less and less people I meet.
I'm from yelling and scolding;
From tons of laundry folding;
From hurting and aching;
From crying and heart breaking.
I'm from "Get out!", "Leave me alone!", and "You're so lame."
the empty house that haunts me all through the day.
From lying and cheating;
From lots of decieving;
From regreting and grieving...
I'm from Lonely Lane, and I guess I'm never leaving.
